Terms and ConditionsWhat this policy covers
This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit this website, ask for a demo, apply for a job, or otherwise get in touch with us.
It does not cover video and other data that our customers process using Accel or Terra. That is explained under "Video processed for our customers" below.
Who is responsible
[Sigmawave legal entity name], of [registered office address], is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us about privacy at [privacy contact email].
Information we collect
| What | Examples | When |
|---|---|---|
| Details you give us | Name, work email, company, role, and what you write in your message | When you request a demo, contact us, or subscribe to updates |
| Job applications | CV, work history, and anything else you include | When you apply for a role |
| Technical information | IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and the time of your visit | Automatically, when you use the site |
We do not ask for sensitive information through the website, such as health details or government identity numbers. Please do not send it to us.
How we use it
- to reply to you and arrange the demo or conversation you asked for;
- to send you product updates, if you asked for them. You can unsubscribe at any time;
- to consider you for a role you applied for;
- to keep the website secure and working, and to understand how it is used;
- to meet our legal obligations.
Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent, on steps you ask us to take before a contract, on our legitimate interest in running and improving our business, or on a legal obligation, depending on the purpose.
Video processed for our customers
Accel analyses video from cameras that our customers own and operate. In that setting the customer decides what is recorded and why, and Sigmawave processes the video on the customer's behalf and under its instructions, as set out in our agreement with that customer.
If you have a question about footage of you captured at a site that uses Accel, please contact the organisation that runs that site. If you write to us instead, we will pass your request to them.
Terra generates synthetic images and labels. Reference photographs that a customer uploads to Terra are handled in the same way, on that customer's behalf.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with:
- service providers who host the website and help us run it, such as hosting, email and recruitment tools, under contracts that require them to protect it;
- professional advisers, where needed;
- authorities, where the law requires it;
- a buyer or successor, if our business or part of it is sold or reorganised.
International transfers
Our service providers may store or process information in countries other than your own. When they do, we take the steps the law requires to protect it.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, and then delete it or make it anonymous. Enquiries are kept while the conversation is active and for a reasonable period afterwards. Job applications are kept for the length of the hiring process and a limited time after it, unless you ask us to keep them on file.
How we protect it
We use technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No website can be guaranteed completely secure, so please take care with what you send us.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict that use;
- withdraw consent you have given, including for marketing emails;
- complain to your local data protection authority.
To use any of these rights, write to [privacy contact email]. We may need to confirm who you are before we act on a request.
Cookies
The website uses only the cookies and similar technologies needed for it to work. If we introduce analytics or marketing cookies, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Children
The website is intended for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed, and we will tell you about significant changes in a way that is appropriate.
